If you were selling shoes, your research would indicate that the following keywords have too much competition to get anywhere near the first page of listings; shoes, black shoes, black tennis shoes; but the data suggests that it is worth taking a shot with the keyword, red tennis shoes. You would write articles with, Red Tennis Shoes, in the title, and in the first paragraph, middle paragraph, and last paragraph. Then you would submit them to highly ranked article directories. If lady luck smiled upon you (which is often what it takes), & your article marketing efforts get on the first page, (hopefully in the top half, ) then your article is going to get some readers, and some of them are going to click through to your affiliate website, & a fraction of those people will end up buying.
